I have been learning fārsi, the official language of the Islamic Republic of Iran, for more than a year now, and I am pleased to announce that I will be able to translate my first texts of this language into french in a few months now.
Fārsi (which other name is the well known “persian”) is an indo-european language that is very similar to Dari, spoken in Afghanistan.
With more than 150 million people in the world fārsi is a key language of the modern world. Even though there may exist some difficulties with Iran at the moment, this language is a great opportunity to access to a new market that is terribly in need of contact with Western nations.
